The Tottenham Sourdough range | our signature, organic collection

Real sourdough? Check the small print

A proper sourdough starts with just 3 ingredients: flour, water and (a little) salt. The famous sourdough “kick” (the tangy, intense flavour) comes from the starter culture- where flour and water have been allowed to ferment- from which we get yeast cells to give the bread its “rise”, plus bacterias to impart flavour, texture and aroma

We really do recommend that you look at the Real Bread Campaign’s page on sourdough- where the science is explained, along with the benefits of this ancient and 100% natural bread making process

Our all-organic signature sourdoughs are sliced and bagged, which makes them perfect for freezing at home; giving you the best toast whenever you need it!

The half-oval

A classic 1 kg oval sourdough, baked on the stone floor of the oven, is halved and sliced- each slice giving that classic “sourdough toast” profile and open structure

organic tinned white sourdough

The tin

Baked in a tin more like a classic farmhouse-style loaf, this 500g sourdough has a closer structure, retaining moisture for slightly longer. Sliced whole, each slice is much the same shape and size

The range:

White Sourdough

Our organic signature white gives you the classic tangy taste, with a chewy texture and a perfect crust. Hands down the best toast you’ll ever have, we promise

Spelt Sourdough

Using only 100% spelt flour from Shipton Mill, our organic Spelt Sourdough is hand-shaped, then cold fermented for 18 hours

Seeded Sourdough

Our organic Seeded Sourdough is made with blends of sunflower, linseed and pumpkin seeds. You’ll love its rich nutty flavour and aromatic crust

Vermont Sourdough

Think of it as a White & Rye. Our organic Vermont Sourdough captures the irresistible combination of a white bread with an added rye flour. What you get from the rye is extra fibre, slightly more moisture in the bread, plus an added strength to the taste
